All Patterns and Colours
Caesar - Blue Mitted Male Ragdolls are distinguished by four colours:
Although the chocolate and lilac colours are recessives, the colours of expected litters can be forecast in a general manner, if the colours, and recessives (if any) of each of the parents are known. See Colour Table. There are also some new colours are being introduced into the Ragdoll breed: Blue, Cream, Red and Tortie. See Working With Red.
- Seal - Points are a deep seal brown, body colour is cream to fawn
- Blue - Points are slate blue; body colour is bluish white
- Chocolate - Points are chocolate; body colour is ivory
- Lilac - Points are frost grey; body colour is milk white with a pinkish tint to it
Ragdolls have three unique coat patterns:
- Colour Point - dark mask and ears, with a lighter body colour that deepens on the legs and tail
- Mitted - dark mask and ears, with a lighter body colour deepening on the legs and tail, white chins and bibs (ruffs) as well as white scalloped front paws and white back legs
- Bicolour - dark mask and ears, however the mask is interrupted by a white, inverted "V" down a line through the eyes and sweeps towards the back of the chin into the bib. Like the other two patterns, the body is lighter, with deeper colour at the points. Bicolours are sub-divided into four sub-categories, depending of the level of white expressed.
- High-Mitted Bicolour
- Bicolour (True)
- Mid High White Bicolour
- High White Bicolour
In breeding Ragdolls, the sub-categories will produce different combinations when bred to the different patterns and sub-categories. See Pattern Table.
As well, a Lynx pattern has been introduced, which is in addition to the colour and pattern. For example, it is possible to have a Seal Mitted Lynx or a Blue Bicolour Lynx Ragdoll.
